One of the worlds busiest ports, if not
the busiest in the world, has reopened after Hurricane Milton.
Commerce is flowing again at Florida's Port
Canaveral. That includes leisure
trips
as well as cargo traffic.
The port was shut down for two days
because of the hurricane until the U.S. Coast Guard gave its approval after
checking for debris.
The first cruise ship to enter the channel
was the?MSC Seashore.
Six other cruise ships were scheduled to
sail into the port on Saturday, including:
- Carnival
Freedom
- Carnival
Glory (originally scheduled to arrive Friday)
- Mardi Gras
- Disney
Fantasy
- Adventure of the Seas
- Utopia of the Seas
Four ships will sail out of Port Canaveral on Sunday, including:
- Carnival
Vista
- Disney Wish
- MSC Seashore
- Wonder of the Seas
The port advises cruise passengers to
check with their cruise lines for any updated schedules.
The airport in nearby Melbourne, Florida,
has also reopened.
Royal Caribbean recently floated out its
new ship that
will debut at Port Canaveral next year.
