Disney officials shared a sneak peek at the Marvel Studios and Marvel Themed Entertainment areas coming soon to the Disneyland Resort in California, Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland.
The three new areas at Disney parks around the world will champion the next generation of Super Heroes, representing just one of the ways the company continues to bring immersive worlds to life for visitors of all ages.
For travelers heading to Disneyland, the Marvel area of the facility will be anchored by Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! attraction at Disney California Adventure park. The heroes will be joined by Spider-Man and the Avengers in 2020.
The Marvel-themed area coming to Hong Kong Disneyland is part of a multi-year expansion that will allow guests to team up with Ant-Man and The Wasp to fight Arnim Zola and his army of Hydra swarm bots. The new attraction will bolster the success the park already found with the addition of the Iron Man Experience in 2017.
"With the incredible popularity of Iron Man Experience at Hong Kong Disneyland and Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! at Disneyland Resort, we know our guests love experiencing epic action and adventure alongside the Avengers and their heroic friends," Disney Parks chairman Bob Chapek said in a statement. "We are excited to take the next step by immersing our guests in this ever-expanding universe - and this is only the beginning!"
As for Disneyland Paris, the new Marvel-themed area will include a reimagined attraction scheduled to open in 2020 that allows visitors to team up with Iron Man and their favorite Avengers on a hyper-kinetic adventure.
Also scheduled to open at Disneyland Paris in 2020 is Disney's Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, which will feature the Avengers, Spider-Man and more. As for 2018, the Paris theme park will host Marvel Summer of Super Heroes from June 10 to September 30.
