From May 25 to September 29, an all-new, high-energy Alice in Wonderland-themed show is being performed at Disneyland Paris.
The new show is called "Alice & the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland" and features musical performances, aerial acrobatics, and BMX stunts.?In addition, the show will feature a different twist on the final croquet game scene between Alice and the Queen of Hearts, where the audience can even influence the outcome during the grand finale.
What Makes The Show Truly Special
Alice & the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland will feature a number of different performers, including singers, dancers, and musicians, as well as highly-trained acrobats who will make use of seven trampolines on stage.
The show will also feature BMX riders who will jump through the air and perform tricks across the stage in accordance with the music.?
Much of the setting is heavily inspired by the pop-art movement, mixing the traditional Alice in Wonderland stage with pop art and street art, including murals, flashy colors, and industrial elements.
While inspired by the 1951 film adaptation of? Alice in Wonderland, the show's music is a mix of styles that reflect each character's personality. Alice-themed songs featuring a pop melody to embody her more cheerful personality, and characters like the? Queen of Hearts have a classic rock melody to embody her self-confident personality.
Much like the music and setting, the costumes are inspired by the books but with an all-new twist to reflect the new setting and character personalities. For example, the Queen of Hearts wears a bold, glamorous rock-inspired outfit, and Alice wears pop star-inspired outfits.
For the grand finale, the audience has the chance to pick the victor, with who is the winner of the finale, being judged by audience enthusiasm.?
