Disney officials announced Wednesday the location of its previously announced Star Wars-inspired resort.
According to the Walt Disney World parks blog, the new resort is currently under construction on the south side of Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, just east of World Drive. The new resort will be positioned within walking distance of the highly-anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge land at Hollywood Studios.
The upcoming Star Wars hotel was originally announced in February and will transport guests into another world where they board a starship and interact with familiar characters. Instead of just watching the story unfold around them, guests will be fully immersed in the experience.
Visitors to the Star Wars-inspired resort will even be able to dress in Star Wars-inspired attire and become part of the galaxy far, far away.
Last week, Disneyland and Disney World officials announced Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will open next year. The highly-anticipated attraction will debut at Disneyland in summer 2019 and late fall 2019 at Disney World.
