Adventures by Disney announced Thursday it would launch a family vacation itinerary in 2020 that offers travelers the chance to explore Egypt via land, river and sea.

Bookings for 2020 vacations open May 16.

The vacation package will immerse travelers in the allure of both ancient and modern Egypt through an itinerary developed with the trusted experts at Disney. The trip includes a Nile River cruise, a retreat on the shores of the Red Sea and opportunities to witness iconic landmarks.

The 10-day, nine-night Egypt vacation will feature tours to the pyramids, Sphinx and Tutankhamun's tomb led by a world-class Egyptologist. The trip also takes travelers to the new Grand Egyptian Museum, allows access inside the Great Pyramid of Giza, provides interactive cultural activities and more.

Adventures by Disney will offer 11 Egypt departures in 2020, with five of the tours reserved for adult travelers. The adult-only itinerary will include an exclusive VIP tour of the conservation rooms at the Grand Egyptian Museum.

Disney's roster of guided adventures in 2020 also includes more adult-exclusive departures, with itineraries offering new activities and experiences tailored to adults. Reimagined trips to Montana and Yellowstone National Park highlight the return of more than 35 popular itineraries around the globe.

The diverse mix of itineraries features international destinations such as Japan, South Africa, Peru and Scotland, as well as iconic sites in North American, such as Alaska, New York City, Arizona and Utah.
