Windstar Cruises is debuting a new specialty restaurant.
Called Basil + Bamboo, the complimentary culinary venue will offer dishes inspired by Asian and Mediterranean cuisines.
We call this blend of East meets West MediterrAsian, and it will change the way you imagine fusion cuisine, the cruise line wrote in an email to past guests.
Basil + Bamboo is currently open on Star Breeze, and Windstar plans to roll it out across all of its Star Class yachts between now and 2026. It will replace Cuadro 44.
The dinner-only restaurant will also be offered on Windstars newest ship, Star Seeker, which is scheduled to launch in December.
Guests can expect dishes like tuna tartare with roasted fennel, tofu aioli avocado and avocado coulis, and grilled Spanish octopus with romesco, Kalamata spheres and tomato pistou.
As the official cruise line of the James Beard Foundation, we continue to prioritize bringing exceptional dining experiences to our guests, says Stijn Creupelandt, chief operations officer of Windstar Cruises. The introduction of Basil + Bamboo will further enhance and diversify the culinary offerings available aboard. This new dining venue perfectly complements the elevated ambiance of Star Seeker and the exciting destinations she will visit."
