It was announced on May 20 that Hyatt Centric San Juan Isla Verde, a former Verdanza Hotel, is joining the?Hyatt?portfolio next year, marking the introduction of the Hyatt Centric brand to?Puerto Rico.
The soon-to-be-opened 223-room hotel is currently having all of its guestrooms, suites, and public spaces renovated as part of a $25 million enhancement project. It will be located about a block away from Isla Verde Beach in the Isla Verde neighborhood.
"We're excited to?work with Interlink and Vivo Beach Club to bring the Hyatt Centric lifestyle brand to Puerto Rico and expand Hyatt's brand presence in a thriving market," Senior vice president of development, Latin America & the Caribbean, Hyatt Camilo Bola?os Said.
"Hyatt Centric San Juan Isla Verde will be situated in the heart of the Isla Verde neighborhood, allowing guests to truly experience the locale but also discover other nearby beaches and at?tractions that spark curiosity and connection,"?Bola?os Continued.

Once renovations are complete, the hotel, which will be managed by the industry-leading?Highgate Hotels, will feature a communal space and social center that features a restaurant and bar, an open-air beer garden, and a locally-inspired coffee shop.?
The hotel will also include a modern fitness center, over 16,000 sq. ft of meeting space, a resort-style pool deck, and a locally-inspired restaurant and pool bar.
Guests will also be granted complimentary access to the Vivo Beach Club, which is an all-ages oceanfront private beach club featuring a pool, three restaurants, four bars, an outdoor concert stage, 12,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, and the award-winning Ocean Lab Brewing Co. micro-brewery.
