Kansas City is one of the best places you can celebrate St. Patrick's Day in the Midwest this year as the city ranks 16th in the all-important category of St. Patrick's Day traditions, 22nd for weather and a respectable 36th in terms of costs.

One of two Nebraska cities in the top 20, the state capital of Lincoln ranks second for safety and accessibility and eighth for St. Patrick's Day weather in 2020. However, the city ranks just 85th for St. Patrick's Day traditions, the lowest of any destination in the top 20.

Madison took a tumble this year, falling 13 spots from third in 2019. Nonetheless, the Wisconsin capital ranks second in the country for St. Patrick's Day costs, meaning travelers' dollars will stretch much further here compared to most other domestic destinations.

No destination in the top 20 fares worse than Boise in terms of St. Patrick's Day weather (144th) but the city ranks inside the top 30 in each of the remaining three categories, including 26th for St. Patrick's Day traditions.

Syracuse is the country's number one city for safety and accessibility this St. Patrick's Day and ranks 15th for traditions, helping it climb a whopping eight spots higher in 2020 compared to 2019.

In addition to ranking eighth for weather, Omaha is one of the safest cities you can visit this St. Patrick's Day, tying for the fewest DUI-related fatalities per capita. Visitors can also look forward to a plethora of fun events, including bar crawls, a parade and a festive half marathon and 7K run.

Undoubtedly a surprise entry in the top 10, Cedar Rapids is home to the nation's fourth-highest percentage of Irish population and also ranks inside the top 10 for safety and accessibility, making it an under-the-radar option for families this St. Patrick's Day.

Holiday travelers can't go wrong celebrating St. Patrick's Day in The Land this year. After all, Cleveland ranks ninth overall, according to WalletHub's research, coming in 11th for St. Patrick's Day traditions and 13th for mid-March weather.

Don't sleep on Buffalo this March as WalletHub found it to be one of the country's 10 best cities for St. Patrick's Day traditions. New York's second-largest city also ranks 30th for safety and accessibility and 29th for weather in 2020.

Despite ranking a dismal 189th for costs, New York City checks in at seventh overall. The Big Apple ranks fourth-best for St. Patrick's Day traditions-which takes into account parades, length of St. Patrick's Day history and share of Irish population, among other factors-and is tied for the most St. Patrick's Day parties and festivals per capita this year.

The Chicago suburb of Naperville makes its way into the top 10 on the strength of its safety (third-lowest crime rate), weather (third-best weather forecast for St. Patrick's Day) and affordability (fifth-best for costs). What's more, Naperville boasts the highest percentage of Irish population of any city WalletHub analyzed this year.

Tampa is tied for the most Irish pubs and restaurants per capita and tied for third for the lowest average price for a St. Patrick's Day party ticket. Nonetheless, this typically warm and sunny destination ranks just 122nd for weather in 2020.

The Steel City is home to the country's second-highest percentage of Irish population and is tied for first place with WalletHub's highest "access to bars" grade, which measures a combination of availability (bars per 100,000 residents) and proximity (bars per square mile).

On the other side of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia makes up for its lesser percentage of Irish population by ranking fifth in the U.S. for most Irish pubs and restaurants per capita and sixth overall in terms of St. Patrick's Day traditions.

Rising two spots from 2019, Boston ranks best in the country in terms of St. Patrick's Day traditions but is held back from the top spot by lackluster weather and unfavorable costs. Still, no city boasts more St. Patrick's Day parties and festivals per capita.

Chicago is once again the best city in America to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. The Windy City is tied for the most Irish pubs and restaurants per capita and the most St. Patrick's Day parties and festivals per capita in addition to boasting the third-lowest average beer price.
